EASY STEPS TO DUTCH BRAID YOUR HAIR

Summer is already here and you can’t open your hair all day. Dutch braids are all over the fashion books these days. From high school to a hectic office day it will give your hair a whimsical look every time. If you are not familiar with a Dutch braid then it resembles a French braid which is also known as an inverted braid.

This braid is too simple to tie. Whilst you get overwhelmed with the other braids and style this one is really easy and doesn’t require any practice or steps to remember. You can also use your haircut app to look for a salon nearby to get it done.

Following are steps that you need to follow for a beautiful Dutch braid;

  1.    BRUSH YOUR HAIR

First thing first, brush your hair to make sure they are not coiled or tangled. After all, nobody likes styling with mid hair knots. If you find it difficult brush your hair then spritz some hair spray to detangle and for some extra shine.

  1.    SECTION YOUR HAIR

Ensure the sections that you’re making are equal from the hairline because it will be the start of the process of making a Dutch braid. From one eyebrow arch to other eyebrow arch make sure they are finally parted.

  1.    ANCHOR YOUR BRAID

Anchoring your braid can be a process that you must pay attention to. Take your right hair strand and twist it with the middle strand. Same goes for the left strand. Overlap it with the middle strand.

  1.    ADD SOME HAIR

Take some hair from the right side and add it into the right hair strand. Do the same thing with the left side by taking some hair and overlapping them under the left strand.

  1.    REPEAT THE PROCESS

Continue with the process and keep adding the hair strands into the right, left and the middle strand to shape into a braid. Once you’ve done with adding all the hair braid it from the mane and secure it with an elastic band.

You can also ask for a professional hairstylist for a double Dutch braid with your hair stylist app. In case you want the double Dutch braid then you must follow these steps;

  1.    BRUSH YOUR HAIR STRANDS

Make sure you have no mid hair knots and your hair look smooth. Use a dry shampoo if you feel they are slightly messy.

  1.    SECTION YOUR HAIR

Split your hair from the middle into two even sections. Secure one side with an elastic band and start braiding the other side.

  1.    BEGIN YOUR BRAID

Do the same process on each side by overlapping left strand to right, middle to left and then right.

  1.    ADD SOME HAIR

Add some hair side-by-side to shape it more like a thick braid.

  1.    FINISH YOUR BRAID

Once you’re done adding your hair secure it an elastic band and pinch it from sides to give it a fluffy look. You are now done with your three strands traditional style double Dutch braid.
